That's my guess.
/no sign. Only issue I ever had was that AB was a little annoying having to leave group and outpost to return to hall and dump. I'd like to see Faction NPCs introduced to outposts (not just Balth priests) but the cap is fine.

The cap is ludicrous. PvE players can save up enough gold and skill points to unlock all the skills when a chapter comes out, but PvP players can't?
The cap needs to be removed. It vastly favors PvE play, and to be honest, not everyone wants to farm Shiroken with a Mo/Me.
If you are gaining skill point at X per hour, and are able to save them up for buying skills the moment the next chapter comes out, why the heck shouldn't you be able to save up the faction you earn from combat?

Maybe a 100k faction cap. It is a little unfair that you can unlock a ton of skills in pve much quicker but it usually takes longer to get all those skill points and cash. Getting 1k faction takes about 15 mintues max. Getting a skill point and 1k gold normally takes more time than that. We need to find some middle ground.

I don't agree with the arguments for not allowing players to store faction for use in future campaigns - most of your claims are moral judgments you are trying to push on others (read: everyone should play the game the way I like to play it), and I find the entire debate patently ludicrous. However, I don't care enough to actually argue about it, so I'll just say I agree.
That said, if you're concerned about faction hording and instant unlocks for future chapters, there are still ways to prevent that while still removing the faction cap. For example, you could reset faction to 0 whenever a new campaign is linked to the account. Or, you can place a hard cap on the number of things each account can unlock per day after release.

I think there should be a cap, but I also think they should make more use for balth factions, especially now when you can buy unlock packs (yeah that's so fair since you spend money to unlock all stuff in one day). I wouldn't mind if 5k factions for as little as 1 fame or at least something.

It is in ANet's favor not to raise/remove the faction cap. They have already made it clear they will add PvP unlock packs for other chapters, so what if they released the Nightfall one the day it came out? If they allowed you to have more than 10k faction then a lot of people would save up faction for the unlocks, but if they kept it at 10k then those who want the unlocks right away would go for the unlock pack(s). It could lower sales if they raised/removed the cap.

/SIGNED (for balthazar)
(NOT luxon/kurzick)
10k is an absolute joke - it's a 1/3 of your faction for an elite skill (lmao)
-AT LEAST increase so you can unlock one complete build
3k - elite skill
7k - other skills
10-15k - max mods
7-15k - runes

Although it is unfair in many aspects, I think if everyone was given the cap raise it'd be useless to most people and a waste of space to give everyone that much unused faction tanks. Most people spend it after getting 1-2K.
Instead, add a function that lets people who have everything unlocked from a campaign recieve an extra +5K amount of space. Currently you could have up to 25K, and after getting nightfall, they'd be able to max out at 30K if they were really a big spender. Even thought that might sound like a lot, I don't think it really is. Maybe lower it to 2K each and the current person could be at 16K storage, when nightfall comes out 18K. Just a thought.

your guild must have one pisspoor rating... you get up there and you'll start gaining more faction than you know what to do with.
I say they raise the cap to something like 50k especially with the introduction of heroes which you will be wanting to unlock nightfall skills for.

Personally, I don't think the faction cap is needed. So what if someone can farm faction and unlock every nightfall skill? It'll eventually happen, and if more people unlock lots of these skills the faster builds will come around.

The faction cap is pretty lame. It is annoying to have to stop your current PvPing to go cash it all in so you can get more.
PvE players don't have a cap on skillpoints or on gold so once a new chapter comes out, they go to the new continent and can unlock all non-elites pretty quickly and spend a bit of time capping elites. Why not let the dedicated PvPers be able to unlock everything quickly too? They earned it.
At the very least, if a limit has to be set, it should be much higher and there should be something to exchange in return for your faction so that one can always earn more faction. For example, allowing balthazar faction to be traded in for gold/materials only after all unlocks have been performed.
